So you are after some Affiliate Internet Marketing tips?  Here we will give you some tips and tricks to help build your Affiliate Marketing website. 
We have setup this website to help you learn more about Affiliate Marketing with some helpful Internet tips along the way.
We will give you articles and programs we have personally found useful in helping us build our Marketing Network.  Most sites that you visit claim to have the ONE secret that will make you filthy rich in less than 7 days!

Well, welcome to the real world... in our experience that is not going to happen.  Our site is not going to throw products in your face and tell you to pay thousands of dollars with programs we don't believe will work for you, just to make us rich!
Our job is to give you the best information we can about Affiliate Internet Marketing Tips. 

Right, enough of the talk, and more of the Affiliate Marketing tips you have come here for.
The first thing you should think about is whether you are going to promote your own products, or promote products that other people have already made.
My advice to you is to start learning the ropes by promoting products other people have already developed.  Look what they have done, learn from their mistakes, and once you build up the confidence, you can venture into developing your own products.

OK, to get started, here are some steps you should take:
- Get a Google Adsense Account -  To do this, click on the Google Adsense Button in the left hand menu.  Google has a lot of tutorials on how to use Adsense, so ensure you go through these carefully. 

- Get some hosting space - In order to build a website, you will need some hosting space to make your website seem on the World Wide Web.  The best way to explain Hosting, is like the monthly amount you pay for your phone bill.  The Domain name (eg. www.goinglarge.org) is like your phone number.  For people to get to it, they can look you up in a directory (such as Google, or Yahoo!), or they can enter the name directly into their browser. 
The hosting of your site is like the line rental you pay to your phone company every month. If you dont pay this line rental for a month or two, your phone will be disconnected, and no one will be able to dial your number!
There are many hosting companies out there, so choosing the right one can be very difficult.  Check out BlueHost.com.  They have some very cheap hosting plans, and you also get a FREE domain name with your hosting purchase, plus FREE Yahoo and Google Credit!   You will be using Yahoo and Google a lot later on, so this credit could come in handy!

- Sign up to Affiliate Programs - If you are to promote products that other people have created, you need to find places to sign up to these affiliates.  Some site owners run their own affiliate programs directly from their own website, but the majority tend to use a third party service such as Click Bank or Commission Junction to handle this for them.
Some others you can sign up to are; Linkshare and Shareasale

- Learn how these Affiliate Programs work - The best way to learn how affiliate programs work, is to start using them! Just jump right in and learn about how they pay commissions, how you can register for Affiliate Programs, and how to start earning money with these Affiliates.  Another great way to do this is to register to forums, where people discuss their experiences with certain programs.  Here you will get a good idea of what works and what doesn't work.  But remember, the forums are only people's opinions, DONT treat this as gospel!.  The best forum we have come across that has information on all the Affiliate Programs mentioned above is A Best Web Forum.  

- Find a topic you are interested in - It may be sewing, Cars, furniture, computers... anything at all that you are interested in, where you believe you can make money online. 

- Do some research on your topic - Take your time to do a bit of research about your chosen topic.  Do some research on the Affiliate Programs mentioned above to find out how many related products/services they offer for your chosen topic.  Some topics may have thousands of affiliates, while others may only have one or two.  
Here are some handy tools that will help you choose a good topic.
- Overture Keywords Search - Overture keyword search lets you search for a keyword or keywords that is related to your chosen topic.  The results will show the number of times people have searched for that keyword in the past month.  This is based on the Yahoo search engine, but gives us some indication of what to expect for Google Results.  (Though in recent times, this tool seems to be offline more often than not).

- Overture.com - Will give you the results of a Keyword Search.  Once you have obtained the results, you will find a link in the top-right hand corner, that says 'View Advertiser's Max Bids'.  This will show you how much people are willing to pay to show their Pay-Per-Click ads to people who search for that keyword.  Obviously the higher the amount, the better the keyword, and the higher the competition in that market. 

Tip:  One key point I have learnt from John Reese is that it is best to concentrate on one idea/topic at a time.  Do not start to build 10-15 websites in the hope that one will start earning you a profit.  Concentrate on one site, and DO IT WELL, until it is profitable.

- Build your website - Do you want to build your own website or do you want to use other forms of advertising to promote your affiliates?  You do not have to have your own website, but it is the quickest and best way to earn moeny from your affiliates.  We will take it that you would like to build your affiliate network via your own website.
If you have not already done so, go get your hosting space and domain name sorted - Bluehost.  Now we need to learn to build our website.  If you know how to, then great! you are well on your way.  If not, then you will need a few tools to help you do this.  You can buy expensive pieces of software such as Dreamweaver or use a program like Frontpage.  You could also try some less expensive pieces of software that are specifically made for internet marketing.  The software is called XsitePro, and it has many features geared around internet marketing websites.  This piece of software will help you with Google Adsense, creating Site Maps, Creating links page and many more features. 

- Write some content - Next you will need to write some content for your website.  While you are writing content, you would want to keep in mind the keywords you have chosen.  A great place to start with Search Engine Optimisation is the Seoelite.com Newsletter.  This is a fantastic FREE newsletter that gives you tips on how you can get to the top of the search engine rankings with ease.  It WILL take some work to do, but if you follow the steps in these newsletters, you will definetely see some great returns from your money making websites. 

- Learn all about Google Adsense - If you want to learn about Google Adsense, you cannot go past the FREE tutorials by the Adsense Jerk! Yes, he is a Jerk, and he will tell you this. But he is a rich jerk, and knows what he is talking about.  So go get his FREE Newsletter from his site.
